The Driftwoods Beach Club in Malindi is a privately owned club and many locals in Malindi have made it into their club so foreigners have a chance to mingle with the locals here.

This beach club has a room capacity of 29 and a bed capacity of 70. Here is the breakdown

1. The North beach Rooms are 9 rooms in total. Of these there are 2 double rooms, 4 twin rooms, 2 triple rooms and 1 triple room with fourth room
2. The Garden View Rooms: are 18 rooms in total
3. There is 1 Family cottage (having two en-suite rooms with an interconnecting door. 1 room with a double bed plus one bunk bed, 1 room with 2 single beds plus bunk bed)
4. 1 Family cottage, 4 single beds with one bathroom, with fan (not air-conditioned)
5. 1 double room
6. 3 twin rooms
7. 6 triple rooms
8. 2 triple rooms with fourth bed
9. 3 twin "B Class" rooms - without bathrooms and air conditioning. Use main hotel bathroom facilities. Fans provided in each room.
10. Luxury Cottages: 2 cottages situated together in a separate walled off garden with a private swimming pool. Each cottage has 2 en suite bedrooms, with a lounge area and veranda overlooking the pool. Each cottage is equipped with a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. 

Room Amenities:

Most of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms and each room offers you a mosquito net over the beds.

9 of the rooms at this place have a seaview and the other rooms are spread out in tropical gardens a short walk away from the beach.

There is a new addition ie a 3 luxury self-catering villas located in private premises behind the club each with a swimming pool.

Two of these villas have 2 double air-conditioned bedrooms and one villa has a third single room.

Some of the features of these villas include; own kitchen, verandah overlooking the swimming pool, living/dining rooml.

Guests can, if they so wish, make full use of the Driftwood facilities and if they prefer not to do their own catering, dine at the Driftwood Beach club.
