Lake Manyara is a shallow lake that is located in Tanzania. The name of the lake ie Manyara, is a maasai term that reffers to a plant that grows into a hedge surrounding a homestead.

There are many animals within the confines of Lake Manyara. These include impalas, hippos, elephants, buffalo, wildebeests, warthogs and giraffes. The park has good forest cover that is home to many baboons scampering along the old trees.
