Mikumi National park has an area of about 3,230 sq km and is the fourth largest park in Tanzania. It is also about 283 km west of Dar es Salaam and north of Selous. Animals that are found here include the zebras, lions, impalas, bufalloes and wildebeest.

Ruaha National Park on the other hand covers an area of 12,950 sq. kms and is Tanzania's second largest National Park after the Serengeti. Some of the principle attractions in Ruaha National park are its elephants and bufalloes. We also have the sable and roan antelopes as well as lions in this park
